Southern Draw to Launch Jacobs Ladder, Raise Prices - Cigar News

Southern Draw Cigars shall be unveiling nationally a new offering moniker'd Jacobs Ladder at the up-coming IPCPR trade-show. 'Tis a double Ligero mensch-only stick whose arrival 'twas announced last August. It'll be the fourth core blend of Southern Draw, along-side the Rose of Sharon, Firethorn, and the Kudzu. It fills the Southern Draw portfolio up-top a' it, as their brawniest offering to-date.

The recipe sees an Ecuadorian Maduro binder twixt Nicaraguan guts and USofA grown Pennsylvania Broadleaf. Tabacalera Fernandez shall be cranking 'em outta Nicaragua in three formats: 5 1/2 x 54 Robusto, 652 Toro, and 660 Gordo.
Southern Draw Cigars hath too made aware consumers of a price increase as to the aforementioned Rose of Sharon, Firethorn, and the Kudzu. Hey, these are all plant names, right? Somewhat unrelated: if the FDA thing gets somehow shelved, do all these price hikes go away?

Robert Holt, Brand Founder/Owner: “This is the first price increase by Southern Draw Cigars since the FDA Deeming Regulations were announced in May 2016, and hopefully it will be the last associated with these unfortunate realities of added costs. An average of 5% is modest, especially in the face of today’s accelerating costs due to user fees, legal fees, increased demand on human resources and general inflationary pressures associated with the production, packaging and distribution of these premium blends.”
