Casa Cuevas Cigars La Mandarria in Review

BRAND: Casa Cuevas

BINDER: Dominican
FILLER: Nicaraguan, Dominican

FORMAT: Toro (652) shaggy-foot, pig-tail cap
ORIGIN: Dominican Republic
INTENSITY: Med.-full/Full

NOTES:
Smoked paprika | Molasses | Leather

Oily coffee beans and cedar do well in structuring the italicized primary notes. The cedar has a buttery back-end, lending to a lengthy cocoa trailing.

A bit dry mid-palate but surrounded by mature sweetness and earthen spice. Weighty but not burdensome. Quite complexly-balanced and deeply nuanced. Honey lemon tea mid-point addition.

Draws a bit(un-egregiously) loosely. Burn-line is razor-thin, operating on a half-tick of self-correcting occasional wobble. Seams and cap hold well. No hard/soft spots. Trouble-free.
