Bombay Tobak Vintage Reserve MQBA in Torpedo | Cigar Review Redux by Kaplowitz

"Have you Kaplowitz'd to-day?"

MQBA Torpedo
WRAPPER: Ecuadorian
BINDER: Ecuadorian
FILLER: Ecuadorian

FORMAT:  652 Torpedo
ORIGIN: Tabacos de Costa Rica
STRENGTH: Medium

NOTES: A greater more concentrated zetz of citrus-tangy white pepper than in the Diadem iteration of this blend (link to review below). A few puffs in, nougat and white chocolate hit. Anyone remember those ZERO* candy bars? That. Oh and Tang. Exotic pale spices. Bright yet deep earthen notes. Sweet and vegetal-savory finish of a richly moderate length.

Performs beyond admirably on a dead-even line with a superb draw. Quite smokily-so. Pack stays well-firm all 'round and cool, from gate-to-(toothpicked)wire.

FINAL GRADE: A-
A 90-100 B 80-89 C 70-79 D 60-69 F 0-59

I first look-see'd this blend in its Diadem iteration ((( link ))) Where there's also a bit more of this offering's story.

*"The ZERO candy bar, introduced in 1920, is a candy bar composed of a combination of caramel, peanut and almond nougat covered with a layer of white fudge (a.k.a. white chocolate fudge). Its outwardly white color, an unusual color for a candy bar, has become its trademark." - Wikipedia
