Dapper Cigar Co. El Borracho - Cigar Review by Kaplowitz

"Have you Kaplowitz'd to-day?"

Dapper Cigars Borracho
WRAPPER: Mexican San Andres (Natty)
BINDER: Nicaraguan
FILLER: Nicaraguan

FORMAT: Toro (654) Box-pressed
ORIGIN: Nicaragua
STRENGTH: Med.-Full/Full

NOTES: Notes delivered like a hug from a Sumo wrestler. Rich, strong, encompassing, a lil sweaty. Roasted warmly semi-sweet chocolate heavy on the vanilla attachment. That primary is braced by a toasted cedar backing with its own baking spices nethers. Undertones of clean near scorched compost. Complexities of potpourri, lime, anise, berries, and cola all come in & out but never to the extent of cacophony. Well-trained/timed.

Construction shows a nice draw on a perhaps loose-sided roll. Combustion burns quick thru the 1/3 then slows nicely and the line is even gate-to-wire. Smoke out-put calms quick 'tween tokes, but leps up voluminously on the draw.

FINAL GRADE: A-
A 90-100 B 80-89 C 70-79 D 60-69 F 0-59

"Subtle, Sneaky... Strength. Imposing the strength of Nicaraguan filler tobaccos from Esteli without a negative impact on flavor was the main objective for the El Borracho line of cigars. It’s only through rigorous farm and leaf selection that allowed us to achieve this." - www.DapperCigars.com
