Stickball | Cow | Travel
Chocolate | Leather | Red wine
As a Brooklyn kid, I would play stickball in the streets with a broomstick. The size of this cigar reminds me of that, and in turn of how old I've become. Although poverty does have a way of being stuck in the past, and I'm only just now coming up on middle age if I live to 100.
A delicately-lingering refrain of purple drink, perhaps influenced by the band-color. Wide, soft-rolling landscape. Pastoral. Soft hills separate damp valleys of chocolate and leather. Fertile.
Little League afforded me my first real-life glimpse of a cow when my traveling team went out to either Long Island or New Jersey, I don't recall which. It was a strangely over-and-underwhelming experience. I think I scored a run but can't recall how I ever made it on-base. Probably a walk.
A slow--to--unfurl meditation sans fascination or surprise; but subtly-deeply pleasant. Well-balanced, languidly-delivered. Hard to put a finger on, seemingly not lending itself to it. Panoramic-tannic.
