An aroma of crisply-salted and buttery foody caramel cedar builds the fragrance base on the heels of the initial and fleeting warm booziness of oriental/amber nigh decadent top notes. Leathery pale savory middle/heart notes entrench as the baton 'tween top and base gets passed in sporty drama slo-mo. Then calm and smooth into sandalwood comfort. Ease.
It's a wide base, the cedar. Sturdy and vastly static. The action is in the leathery bits further up the triangle... a floral citrusy tealeaf complexity swirls about easily. That amber headily and authoritatively announces its presence with authority then turns on its heels in a huff or even a mock display of hissy... awaiting the next pull that leads to a fresh aroma and return. "You miss me?" Flirty. "Then miss me more."
As the dry wood settles further traces of mossiness appear, lively-so, as if misted or dew-fallen. At a point, it all becomes rather folded around itself as traces of amber are felt in woodsy-earthiness. An excellent olfactory review introduction, this offering. A kindly accord. I'll most-likely delve into this sort of thing more and elsewhere. Aroma, that is.
