AVO Syncro Ritmo - Cigar Review

Davidoff Avo Syncro Ritmo 550 Robusto Box-press
NOTES:
(George) Burns straight 'nuff, but doth require a not teeny Bic re-direct nigh half. Then a teenier one at final stanza's on-set. Draw is (Dan) rather open. Pacing is lively, tho not overly hastened. Likes to be puffed, but flirts with being over-smoked. Temperamental. No hard/soft spots, tho the press don't hold and errs toward feeling light in hand. Seams, shoulder, and cap all hold admirably-so. (Alan) thick(e) smoke out-put. Ash tends to flute/flower, but makes an inch a' medium-grey'd growth. Fragile top-leaf mandates careful removing of both secondary and primary bands. The latter made a tick of mess.
  • White peppercorn

  • Coriander
  • Lemongrass-cum-Lemonhead (mildly)
  • Galangal*, sprinkling thereof
  • Cashews
  • Soft wood
  • Peanut butter

  • Coffee, blonde roast
  • Butterscotch
  • Hay
  • Chamomile
  • Suede
  • Dirt
Flavors dance through the first-half, take a seat in the second, but still sway to the music. Unique in both delivery of notes and notes themselves, particularly in its citrusy exotic spices. Rich in a half-cal manner. Exceptionally well-rounded and balanced. Superb nuances. Complexities galore. Transitional and then-some within each note and their marryings. Retro-hale high-lights them spices, in a gentle sorta way. Very smooth with just 'nuff kick to offer excitement. But I do, in the interest of full disclosure, subscribe to Reader's Digest. I was up late last night, reading an article on how to fold socks. I couldn't put it down, gentlepersons!

"It's the third release within the Avo Syncro series, and the first to contain tobacco from so many different countries. While the first two Avo Syncro cigars showcased a range of tobaccos from various Nicaraguan growing regions, Avo Syncro South America Ritmo highlights tobaccos from seven different countries, with a special emphasis on Brazilian leaf in the filler. The cigars should be available by the end of the month." Cigar Aficionado website (May 12, 2017)
