Earthen clay mineral tobacco core. Salted cream with a citrus-forward mulling spice accompaniment. Mild black pepper and dutch process cocoa. Ca-a-mel hints. Braced by a wood and bright dirt tandem. Cigar Aficionado ranked the La Boheme Pittore its #12 cigar of 2015, and had this to say about that: "Fans of the opera La Bohème have their favorite acts the way fans of the La Bohème cigar line have their favorite sizes. For us, the cigar that gave the finest performance was Pittore. In the opera, Pittore is Marcello the painter. But in the cigar world, Pittore is a memorable smoke made with well-aged tobaccos from the inventories of José “Jochy” Blanco in the Dominican Republic. The combination of Ecuadoran Habano wrapper and Cuban-seed tobaccos has all the dynamic range of an operatic performance, hitting baritone notes like earth and ripe fruit, all the way to bright soprano tones of spice, ending with a midrange nutty finish. For added romance, brand owner Rafael Nodal took the art from a discontinued vintage Cuban brand and repurposed it for La Bohème."

William Cooper of Cigar Coop, noted ring writer and cigar fella, adds: "La Boheme was one of four new cigars launched by Boutique Blends Cigars at the 2014 IPCPR Trade Show. La Boheme is not just a new cigar, but it is the first cigar of a new brand being launched in the Boutique Blends portfolio with the same name. This becomes the first new brand by the company since Oliveros Cigars rebranded itself as Boutique Blends and brought the Swag and Aging Room Cigars’ brands under that umbrella. Like the Swag and Aging Room lines, La Boheme is produced at Jochi Blanco’s Tabacalera La Palma in the Dominican Republic."
