Hit & Run and The Truth. These two new cigar offerings are to be unveiled at the ever up-coming IPCPR trade-show by the no longer retired Matt Booth alongside Robert Caldwell and A.J. Fernandez. That's right gentlepersons, Matt Booth is back in the cigar business after a half-year spent away and focusing fully on the wearable tchotchke business. He hath made the official announcement via Cigar Aficionado earlier this very morn.
Booth, to CA: "It was great to work with friends and create a new product with them. This was meant to be a true collaboration and a reinvention of myself. I stepped away from the business and now that I'm back, am able to participate more in the creative process. I find myself excited about tobacco in the same way I was when I first started in the industry."
The Hit & Run brand/blend is the brain-child a' Booth and Caldwell, sans AJ. These'll be cranked outta the William Ventura factory in the Dominican Republic with a recipe which sees an Indonesian binder laid twixt Dominican filler and Ecuadorian Habano top-leaf over-top. It shall come in five formats: 646, 654, 4 3/4 x 52, 650 Piramide, and 5 1/8 x 60 Perfecto.
The Truth is a clicking on all three cylinders three-way collaboration twixt the aforementioned Big Three. Made in five box-pressed formats: 5 1/2 x 48 Short Churchill, 552 Robusto, 6 1/2 x 56 Toro Grande, 552 Toro, and 6 1/2 x 44 Lonsdale. Fernandez shall be making with The Truth at his Nicaraguan factory employing only Nicaraguan tobacco.
