General Cigar is giving their Macanudo Inspirado line two new line extensions and one new name. Inspirado White and Inspirado Black.
The Inspirado White recipe consists of an Indonesian binder laid twixt fillers from Mexico and Nicaragua, with a top-leaf over-top a' Ecuadorian Connecticut. Formats will come in a 550 Robusto, 6 1/2 x 50 Toro, and 748 Churchill.
Its Black counter-part features a bolder experience via Broadleaf top-leaf o'er Ecuadorian Sumatra binder then Esteli, Nicaraguan guts. Formats? Sure: 4 7/8 x 50 Robusto, 5 7/8 x 54 Toro, and 748 Churchill.
Worthy of mention is that Cigar Aficionado, in its July 11, 2017 Cigar Insider stated: "It should be noted that Inspirado Black is not the same cigar as the catalog product of the same name."
Two new blends, one new name. What of the original Black? The one I was reminded* was sent to on-line retailers even as its Orange brethren was a hoity-toity Brick-and-Mortar exclusive... are we seeing that Black go away? Will the confusion continue? Am I the only one confused? I hear good things about Vodka in plastic bottles, gentlepersons.
