Construction.

Pretty, pretty barber-pole, Well-crafted from cap to foot with even, tight seams and minimal veins. There are some ticks of lumps in the shaft, however. Packing is a medium density with easy spring-back. No hard/soft spots. Does soften against lighting and does not recover. Excellent oily sheen, soft to the eye as well as hand. Some scant tooth on the Maduro portion. Rather open draw dialed into a -medium tension. Smoke heats a half-tick at the closing third.

Combustion.
k a p l o w I t z
Well-paced and mainly cool burn-rate, dead-even burn-line. Even-keeled roasting of skin and guts. Ash is a tight ladder-rung growth of pale to heather-grey marbling. Slight aeration but sans flake, hangs on easily to an oily-cored inch. Resting smoke out-put quickly calms, but when drawn gives a burst of creamy white and dense smoky-smoke. Smoky-smoke doth grow throughout.

Flavors.
k a p l o W i t z
Cream, baking spices and a red/white and produce pepper leathery-oiled profile. Toasted habanero peppers dipped in a rick milk chocolate.  Moist brownies. Caramel lilt. Sunlit earthiness under-belly, well packed, with a sweet hay attachment. Almond paste. Herbs in a broth-y manner. Soft woods. Lemonade citrus bits. Brown sugar and chili peppers warm and round out the profile. Consistent, with rolling complexities and somewhat subtle nuances. Not a gear-shifting transition, but a nigh constant motion of notes. Lively. Woods toast in the final act and flirt with a sharpness, offset with a heightening sweet cream and splash of diner joe. Nicely balanced. Finish is light and sweet with an herbal vibe. An occasional soapy hiccup here and there post-finish.

Body.
k a p l O w i t z
Classic medium body. Cream is robust but cleanses quickly from cheeks via mainly crisp produce peppers and citrus. Excellent moisture level and gentle occasional tingle. Medium length'd legs on the finish. Clean to crisp mouth-feel post-finish.

Strength.
k a p L o w i t z
A nice slight buzz of wine drunk, but well shy of a boozy zetz to the challah-basket and/or chest.
