After Shave
Big up-front stingle dials back quick, dies. Leaves a pleasantly tight-not-dry face-feel. Nice. Smells in bottle and on first splash like a hyper-flowery, powdery bay rum. Settling on the skin, it trails off fast in cinnamon nutmeg fashion. No real delineation. Somewhat limp, flaccid. Still pleasing but broad, flat, and fleetingly.
Almost completely removed from its own olfactory nostalgia via re-concocting and dare I say neutering to some extent. Possibly to the same extent as one might become a little pregnant. Not sure what any of that means. Sterile. However, it remains quite serviceable and particularly versatile. Safely inoffensive for use in churches, hospitals, AA meetings, and around the finicky chronically allergic.
Actually would pair supremely well with a nice cigar coming off a wet shave. A part of a whole scene, not the whole scene itself, then. A former star, relegated to smaller roles. But hey, work is work.
