NOTES:
Black walnut | Caramel | Cuban coffee

Peppered and salted caramel sauce. The book-end italicized notes above are rather self-explanatory. A dark, bittersweet profile, that allows some good light to shine through its (mostly)smooth-creamy(mainly) density. Layered like a skateboard deck; delineated less than that, however much that might be. Lacks a rigid structuring note. Hint of pungent funk underneath, into finish. Fresh cedar.

Bit of flintiness, minerality. All, again, quite smooshed-together. Well-balanced, perhaps due to that. Enough complexity remains to stave off flatness. Draws very well. Burns on a wobble; occasional jag. Seams hold, as does cap assemblage. Packing softens-some by the coolish burn. Ash builds nicely, albeit flakily. All told, serviceable combustion, construction. Compressed but wide flavorscape, with just 'nuff character.
