Mid-Winter Cigar Recommendations
| Baby, It's Cold Outside
Elsewhere, I wrote:
"Winter, and I hesitate to draw too much attention here, is all about small cigars. Why Corojo for Fall? Nothing preps for hunkering like that leaf. Corona (Petite to Gorda) in both seasons but also the occasional Torpedo in each sends a brave message of offense being the best defense. A final thought on Winter: a good Perfecto laughs in the face of death."
But that doesn't exactly cover us here.
Here, I'm giving recommendations (2) for winter cigars that'll cover your outdoor smoking needs. That above Corojo bit, while possible to extend into winter, is then more like a lap throw and fireplace situation. The tundra demands more densely-dark an offering. And the smaller the better. The two in mind came immediately there.

Gonna buy yourself a bit of time with some portable heating? Maybe a burning barrel full of newspapers you and your boys can sing doo-wop around while swigging 40s? Sounds neat.
Macanudo Emissary Espana LE (Torpedo)
Los Statos Deluxe LE (Figurado)
Bundle up, outdoors-men. It's not even almost March.
