NOTES:
Licorice | Chocolate frosting (dried) | Ripe purple fruits

You know when you leave chocolate frosting behind on the cake pan and it air-hardens? That. Also this: almost over-ripe dark fruits. Plums. And a baseline of static-fizzy black licorice which at times attracts too much attention. There are plate-sized tropical blooms in the fruitiness and for some reason, they have been dipped in soy sauce. Exotic!

This Champion vitola should be beyond this sort of kitsch schtick, I tell myself. But I can't fully buy it because this is Punch and the company's & Judy history is drenched in slapstick cheekiness much as those flowers are in soy sauce. I like the tie and the all-too-realistic body standards. I think a foot band of white sneakers stained green with mowed grass would be neat.

Fun gift.
