La Gloria Cubana Cigars 8th Street in Review

BRAND: La Gloria Cubana
BLEND: 8th Street

WRAPPER: Ecuadorian Habano
BINDER: Nicaraguan
FILLER: Dominican Republic, Nicaraguan

FORMAT: Toro
ORIGIN: USA
INTENSITY: Medium-full

NOTES:
Dark chocolate | Chicory | Chipotle peppers

Smoky-savory, nice (red)peppery-kick. Toasted cream, earthiness. Red spices. Richly-darkly sweet. Lacking harmony, however--the sum is lesser than the parts. A dream team of (leather)ball hogs.

Untight(tightening) seams, askew cap. A soft-spot and a squishy head. Not the best draw but it improves, as does the burn which begins wonkily. Hurried-harried.

At mid-point all mechanics improve but the flavors flatten and (dryly)muddle. Not a bad smoke nor a pedestrian one, but also neither confident nor remarkable.
