A thought as to professional wrestling, kayfabe particularly. It used to be about keeping fans in the dark--secreting the profession. 'New kayfabe' means something else I cannot quite wrap my head around, but it should mean protecting the intelligence of fans in this era of broken kayfabe. People like to be lied to, in the correct situation--but they never like to be told they're being lied to.
For instance, the wrestling of inanimate objects (brooms, dolls, etc.) is fun I suppose but some of the audience might well go away feeling a bit dumb in the back of their alleged minds. Ditto with wrestling with your hands in your pockets, say. Also, in regards to the current Bloodline story being told in the WWE, I'm not a fan of Sami Zayn purposefully trying to break people while they should be portraying seriousness.
Further things I'm not a fan of are trading chops or punches or forearms, and not exhibiting any ring psychology in matches that are just a series of nonsensical overtly choreographed spots. See: AEW, pretty much. Don't even get me started on the new BS I've been seeing of shoot talk regarding current work. That last one just feels like wrestlers not wanting to be wrestlers, but instead actors.
Anyways, the HIATUS* goes well and today it does so with a new hat to boot. An oilskin ballcap, black. This is a definite move away from my usual flat cap, grey or black. Although in private life, I've always been partial to a beanie, black.

*CORRECTION TO A PAIR OF PREVIOUS POSTS: It's 'hiatus' and, of course, not 'haitus.' Thanks to no one for spotting this, or at least for not bringing it to my attention. Don't worry, I finally noticed my mistake and fixed it. There's a thing I heard some time ago regarding I believe Amish quilters. They create these beautiful blankets and purposefully err on a single stitch; just to show that only God is perfect or something. Don't quote me on that, but I do really wish that was what I was doing.
