NOTES:
Tangy bright for a Honduran puro. Still has that region's deep earthen notes. They're up-top, down below, & underneath down below. Most notes are simply (oft muted) attachments to that sunlit clay chicken coop earth. They are: orange pith, cereal grain, cocoa butter, white pepper, ginger, milky suede. This, delivered in steadfast & purposeful strides.
Neat-O complexities in the earthen bits -- which sees its impact lessened upon realizing that's the entire profile & not one key aspect thereof. Could use more backing/bracing to stabilize delineations. Could for real use some additional & distinct independent flavors. No transitions & really no evolution | nuance of notes. So, not complex. Muffled.
That said, it's a nice attainable smoke which could scratch many a morning smoke itch. Would be great w/ a cup of joe; go Ethiopian there for a berry good pairing. Performance-wise, the draw is a tick snug, and a half-tick unfulfilling at times. The ash grows dense af & for however long you'd like. Smoke out-put is a bit mute but its leathery cocoa is nice & interestingly, becomes the moderate length'd finish. Seems & cap start & stay well-built.
Cosmetically, the roll of the stick could be better. There's a visible soft-spot in the 1/3 & an overall lumpy eyeballing. Gives it a bit of a stogie vibe -- left unchallenged by the smoking experience. A comfortable smoke, and ultimately an enjoyable goop melange. If you're looking for more tho, you'll be disappointed.
