NOTES:
Eyeballs w/ crisp clarity atop matte-finish depths. A brightly raw umber hue, near goldenrod around the rim. Brewed leaves are substantially-sized, not particularly unformed, w/ brick reddish tints. Noses to the tune of a quite high bergamot citrus, natch. Some underneath sweet spices and then lingering earthiness.

Sips as it noses. Very fresh bergamot, riding high but not lacking in black tea undertones. Spices are a floral/honey saffron, smoky black licorice. Some pepperiness. The Assam holds its own, particularly in offering a silky & robust leathery-earthen body. Slurps to malty additions. Blackberry. A late salted caramel.

Then almost minty brisk finish. Complex (sweet/spices) & nuanced (leathery earth), but the whoa is in its delineations (pepper-braced) & all-'round balance. A well-trained bull in a lovely china shop.
