Founders Coffee Company Old Glory | Review by Kaplowitz

“Have you Kaplowitz’d to-day?”

Founders Coffee Company
Old Glory Roast

LOCATION: New Jersey
ORIGIN: Blend
VARIETAL: undisclosed

PROCESS: undisclosed
ROAST: Medium
BREW METHOD: Pour-over

WEBSITE: www.founderscoffee.us

NOTES:
The overtones here are the in-between bites of a flame-broiled hamburger. Also on the sip is a kick of black pepper and chocolate soda, thinly. Slurping from the undertones: a lingering saltiness and a mixed berry vibe. The finish is that first sentence, moderately length'd and all patent leathery.

Clear more than bright but not dull nearly. Sinewy in the mouth and quite clean/crisp. No give and no nuance (therefore). Not a lot of ponderable notes. Nicely attainable complexities within a comfort zone not far removed from a diner. Order the peanut butter pie. Always order the peanut butter pie. yw
