The founder of Alec Bradley Cigars, Alan Rubin, just purchased Lars Tetens Brands. This transaction has birthed World 180, the nom de marketing push behind bringing back to prominence Lars Tetens Cigars. Another particular bit is that Alec Bradley Cigars will be the brand's sole worldwide distributor. A bit of minutia: World 180 is majority-owned by Rubin/minority owned by Tetens. I am unsure which actually is smaller/larger: a particular bit or minutia bit. Hmmm & nevertheless...
Lars Tetens has been known in varying degrees since the 1980s for his "conditioned" (flavored) cigars. While this rejuvenation of the brand will heavily feature that, there are apparently some offerings which will not be flavored. According to Tetens, look for ~six blends. I'm quite excited to see Lars perhaps regain his foothold in the industry. Artsy-fartsy floats my boat when, like all other things, done right.
