My Father Flor de las Antillas - Cigar Review

My Father Flor de las Antillas
Toro 652 Pressed
MY NOTES:
A terra-cotta hue'd cigar, well-constructed to the eye-balling and performance -- tho a seam doth widen widely in final-third to reveal binder. A fusty lavender note is rather unique. White pepper/nutmeg piquancy braced by buttery cedar up-on nutty suede in dirt under-belly. Straight-forward yet more complex than that may connote.

FINAL GRADE: A-

WRAPPER: Sun Grown Nicaraguan

IN ADDITION:
The Flor de Las Antillas in Too, natch, was Cigar Aficionado's 2012 Cigar of the Year. To wit they done writ: "The standout of the four-size brand is the Toro, which has a gentle, rounded box press and a beautiful and evenly colored wrapper. The smokes are delicious from the first puff, with notes of nutmeg, white pepper and just enough strength without being overpowering. They are hard to put down. They are classics, 96-point smokes on our 100-point scale."

Gentlepersons, please to peruse with an eye on purchase, perchance -- this and other very fine My Father Cigars offerings at Cigars City. What's not to like?

"Cuba is the largest of the Greater Antilles islands. Because of its beauty it has earned the name "Flor de las Antillas". In its honor, the Garcia family has decided to put that name on this amazing and unique creation, combining a great cigar with a design that includes accents from the original art created in the early 1900s, packed in a box of 20 cigars." - My Father Cigars
