One Mr. Nick Melillo hath announced just prior to the IPCPR trade-show kick-off, that his Foundation cigars shall be rolling out a new line extension. Said extension is a Maduro'd iteration of their El Gueguense offering which landed at the caboose a' last year's Cigar Aficionado Top 25.
The cigars are being cranked outta the TABSA factory in EstelĂ, Nicaragu, in the following formats: 748 Churchill, 5 5/8 x 46 Corona Gorda, 5 1/2 x 50 Robusto, 656 Toro Huaco, and 6 1/4 x 52 Torpedo. The recipe? A Mexican San Andres Maduro top-leaf over Nicaraguan guts from Condega, EstelĂ, and Jalapa. That's what we got. What else we got, gentlepersons? According to a company press release, the Maduro expression is “an independent and unique flavorful profile from the original El Gueguense.” My favorite Rocky movie was the one where Stallone played a French Chef.
