George Groves Grabs the Belt, Fedor Chudinov Busts His Jaw

Groves didn't get off scott-free Saturday night May 27 in his 4th and finally winning go at gold. For Chudinov done bust his yapper in turn.
Chudinov (14-2, 10KO) came to fight-night having been out-of-the-ring for nigh 2 years, and having lost his latest bout. Why was he fighting Groves (26-3, 19KO) for the vacant WBA Super World Super Middleweight title? The row was contested by the Russian only in its opening stanza. Thereafter, till its sixth round stoppage, it was in the Brit's control. In that opener, Chudinov landed some head-shots and shook Groves with a hard right. The go was Groves' fourth for a world title. He'd lost twice to Froch and once to Jack, prior. Lettuce assume he'll miss 2017's remainder to recuperation.
