May 4th - Santa Anita Park - G3 $100K Santa Ysabel Stakes
The Mr. Jerry Hollendorfer trained Tapit filly, a 1-9 favorite under jockey Mr. Mike Smith proved a rail draw to be of no concern. Off a neat first-turn move twixt two horses after a quite sluggish start, madame took to the front quite well and easy. The towering grey filly was not asked for much more than nothing till the 16th pole, when pushed by the able Abel Tasman. The class of the three year-old filly crop responded nigh thunderously to the whip, greeting the wire 2 1/4 lengths ahead of her aforementioned rival. “When I got into her, she jumped back into the bridle,” obvious bachelor Smith said.
"Hollendorfer intends to start Unique Bella in the Grade 1 Santa Anita Oaks, a $400,000 race at 1 1/16 miles on April 8." Daily Racing Form reported.
