Gran Habano Cigars Blue in Green Toro - Cigar Review by Kaplowitz

"Just Kaplowitz"

Gran Habano Blue in Green
WRAPPER: Connecticut
BINDER: Nicaraguan
FILLER: Nicaraguan

FORMAT: Toro (654)
ORIGIN: G.R. Tabacalera Unidas, Honduras
STRENGTH: Medium

NOTES: Classic Connie -- begins a bit grassy but only the first few pulls. Heats and matures to sweet citrus with buttery white pepper kicker up-top. Underneath is white chocolate & sweet cream which continue to flesh out via progression. There's a white toast comfy note sammiched twixt with traces of nougat & pale nuts. Underbelly is sunny-bright earth. Performs excellently in a very smoky manner which smells sweetly floral.

FINAL GRADE: B+
A 90-100 B 80-89 C 70-79 D 60-69 F 0-59

I smoked this offering (& talked about that) on 106. Kaplowitz Radio Friday.

"For a company best known for its red packaging, Gran Habano is tapping two other colors for its newest line, called Blue In Green.

"It’s a Connecticut wrapper cigar with a binder and filler of Nicaraguan tobacco, with the company calling it a medium-bodied blend that is designed to embody “the rich nuances of its fillers.” The company also notes it is a “limited/seasonal release,” though declined to go into any specifics about production, which is being handled by the company’s G.R. Tabacalera Unidas factory in Honduras." - www.Halfwheel.com (2018)
