Deep in flavor. Deep in your mind.

Mike Weinstein

Back in my college days, I tried different types of tobacco products. I tried cigars, I tried pipes, and I tried cigarettes. Unfortunately, I ended up with cigarettes. After 40 years as a Marlboro Man, I stopped cold turkey a little over five years ago. A few months later, after Thanksgiving dinner, my brother-in-law asked me to join him for a smoke and offered me a Montecristo (Dominican)! I enjoyed it very much and that was the start of my cigar journey.

As with most things that interest me, I dove into cigars with both feet -- reading, watching, and listening to everything I could find! Now, I fully embrace cigars and the cigar lifestyle. I am a daily smoker and a strong proponent of "variety is the spice of life" (I smoke about 150-200 new cigars per year!) I also have weekly meet-ups with my Thursday Night Herfing Society at Casa de Montecristo by JR Cigars in Whippany, NJ. (Not a sponsor, just my home base!) Feel free to join us for some smokes any Thursday if you are in the area!
