Black Label Trading Co. (BLTC) Cigars Bishops Blend 2018 - Cigar Review by Kaplowitz

"Why not Kaplowitz?"

Black Label Trading Co. Bishops Blend (2018)
WRAPPER: Ecuadorian Habano Maduro
BINDER: Ecuadorian Habano
FILLER: Nicaraguan, Connecticut, PA Broadleaf

FORMAT: Corona Larga
ORIGIN: Fabrica Oveja Negra, Nicaragua
STRENGTH: Medium-Full

NOTES: Overtones? Imagine sucking Coke Blak through a black Twizzlers straw. Riding shotgun to that imagery-slash-bullshit flavor note is a somewhat sharp black pepper'd hardwood with its own raisin/prune undertone. A rich dark earthen core grows via progression from roasted to nicely charred.

Finishes quite cleanly w/ a tingly extension of core notes, further sweetened. Performance-wise, the thick oily top-leaf shows a bit of forgivable & self-corrected jaggedness to burn-line. Draw is rigid but smooth.

FINAL GRADE: A-

"The Bishops Blend from Black Label Trading Company (BLTC) has become a highly anticipated annual release since it debuted three years ago. The 2018 release is sure to follow that same trend. BLTC have announced that they will ship Bishops Blend 2018 to select retailers later in April. 2018 Bishops Blend will only be available in limited quantities and at select retailers." - www.BlindMansPuff.com
