Curivari Buenaventura - Cigar Review

The Buenaventura line and the Curivari brand all-told, should become more familiar to you(we) American Market cigar enthusiasts. Curivari launched back in 2003 Europe, coming state-side some half-score there-after. Buenaventura itself was launched in 2012 as an inexpensive every-day portfolio addition.

NOTES:
Burns well outta the gate, but settles-in unsettlingly with a runner-threat. & what do we do about these sorta things, gentlepersons? Nothing. We do not scorch via torch, anyways. We rest stogie in our tray, the slow-burn side downward. It's science. It too works here, as the line fixes on its lonesome to a slight curvature. This is repeated though lesser-so in the second-half opening. Grey ash drops freely through-out, be thee warned oh, fancy-pants wearers. Seems a tick-quick of pace firstly, then slows as it progresses. Voluminous smoke out-put culminating in a sweetly-spiced room-note in a tobacco-forward manner. Pipe-like. Construction exhibits even-hewn seams that loosen-some ahead of mascara-line when that gets fakakta-some. Smooth and satiating/saturating draw; medium tension'd and evenly-so. Box press holds. Smoke heats-some small bit nigh band.

The body leads in this Buenaventura offering. Silky rich smooth on the draw with a sweetly-spiced tingle joining on the rather long finish. Some pleasantly sour/bitter (not bite) bits twixt that and earthen toasted under-belly. Them flavors ride at a robust and lip-smacking medium height, softly. No hard-corners, well-rounded. Balanced.  Strength trails and I ain't complaining; 'nuff zetz to let ya know you ain't not smoking -- right in the chesticle, warmly. I can't claim the profile complex, but it ain't without nuance and personally hits-well my sweet-spot in attainable EZ fashion. Moolah-wise, as well.
