Nats Wet-blanket Cubs: An NLDS Game 4 Retrospective

Chicago mold be gosh-darned, Stephen Strasburg took to the mound in game-four, down two games to one. Confusion as to what day it is be gosh-darned too, Dusty Baker let 'im. The result is a 5-0 Washington Nationals victory o'er the Chicago Cubs. Strasburg finishing with a dozen strike-outs through seven dominating stanzas of strike-zone pummellings.
Strasburg wasn't named the starter till an hour before "Play-ball!" As a matter a' fact, first Tanner Roark was named. The surprise there being that Stras wasn't on his deathbed and still nigh didn't start. Another surprise was Michael A. Taylor hitting his first post-season HR and the first grand salami in Nats/Expos play-offs history -- into the briskly in-coming wet second-city wind. But that was all flamboyant insurance, really -- 'cause the previous 1-0 lead woulda held, whenst in the third, Addison Russell couldn't come up clean on a short-hop.

Doolittle nailed it down for the Nats 1-2-3 in the ninth; the Cubbies going ever-so gently.
