Illusione Singulare Phantoms (Regular Production) - Cigar Review

Illusione Singulare Phantoms
(Regular Production) 650 Toro

EDIT 10/13:
I live-tweeted a redux review of this blend. That can be found HERE.
NOTES:
Burns evenly on-down, with only slight self-correcting ribbons hither and thither. Draw is an even-keel'd medium+ tension which satiates/saturates on a bit of a wobbling. Slowly-paced. At the half, there is a cosmetic-only crack in top-leaf which burns through sans tsuris. No hard/soft spots, but a softening of pack occurs as smoke progresses. Cap and shoulders hold well to and through the cool nubbing. Nice active smoke out-put, which calms quickly twixt tugs.

  • White pepper
  • Lemon zest-cum-lemonade
  • Shortbread
  • White chocolate
  • Cedar, buttery
  • Duck sauce
  • Pine nuts
  • Cafe Americano
  • Honey malt
  • Sand
  • Dirt

Softly textured, sometimes to a whispered effect. Balanced well. Not transitional, but a growing malt fustiness nicens along the way. Not overly nuanced, as notes seem ne'er to entrench. This lends almost to an air of light-hearted mystery. Finish is rather short-lived, but nicely sweet-sour. Ends cleanly in a nigh apertivo manner.
